About me
I am a postdoctoral scientist at Stanford University / HHMI, supervised by Lisa Giocomo. My research focuses on the neural network mechanisms of spatial navigation. My broader interest lies in integrating neurobiology with computational tools to understand how the brain supports complex behavior and cognition.
I earned my PhD in Neuroscience at Scripps Research, under the mentorship of Li Ye, where I developed tools to profile whole-brain activity and studied the neural circuit mechanisms underlying feeding behavior fragmentation. Prior to Scripps, I completed my undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at Tsinghua University, China.
Outside the lab, I enjoy birding, rock climbing, and learning pop piano. I'm also an amateur entomologist with a particular interest in the taxonomy of Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies).

Science beside biology
As a neuroscientist, I have a broad curiosity for all areas of the natural sciences, ranging from mathematics and physics to psychology and computer science.
